Dear Stephanie:

The spindle got an all-expense-paid trip to Alaska along with a large bag of Rambouillet wool. We took the Alaska Marine Ferry from Homer to Dutch Harbor. It was about a week on the boat and I got lots of spinning done. Everyone was blown away by my pretty spindle. It works great, travels well and attracts lots of attention. I had to decide which of my hand spindles to take and yours won the contest!!!

I especially like that it is made of stone so that I did not have to worry about it in my tote bag. It also passed airport security. It will be my travel spindle from now on.

Gee it spins nice.
